While in previous films escape was lighthearted, here the director shows that one can never truly escape oneself. Human life is an endless loop: waking up, working, returning home. Every Monday morning is the start of the same monotony. We all have moments when we want to leave everything behind in search of something new. Otar Iosseliani tells us that escape is necessary, if only to realize that paradise is not in another country, but in your ability to see the world differently-that freedom is not granted by a spot on a map, but by a momentary pause in this mad race.
